Meander Canyon Half Day Rafting
Duration: 5 hours
Departs from: our office or hotels in Moab
The Colorado River enters a vast sandstone wilderness rich with bird life as it flows south out of the Moab valley.
Here the river has no rapids but runs slow and easy, deep within majestic canyons. You'll see Indian rock art and petrified wood millions of years old. Our tour takes under Dead Horse Point and around the ''Goose Neck'' of the river. This uniquely beautiful and peaceful section of Canyonlands is considered a favorite by many of our guest. Great Blue Heron feed near shore and Mule deer drink from the river. We'll provide sun shades for the rigid hull inflatable boat, upon request. Choose either a morning or an afternoon trip to suit your schedule. Once again, bring plenty of film. You'll need it.

Type of Trans
The RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat) combines an inflatable tube with a rigid aluminum hull to produce a virtually unsinkable boat. Stable and very buoyant, the motorized RHIB maneuvers expertly in any type of water.
Physical Activity Level
Easy, relax on the river while the motorized boat does the work
Recommendations
Suitable for all groups and ages
You do not have to know how to swim to go rafting! Life jackets are worn at all times on the river and are designed to float you face up. The guides instruct you before the trip on what to do in the small chance (more likely on higher adventure trips and inflatable kayak trips) you take a ''swim'' in the river.
What to Wear
Swimsuit/Nylon shorts, Shoes that can get wet or secure sandals with heel straps, Wetsuits for spring trips, Wetsuit boots all seasons. We also recommend you bring a waterproof camera, eye glass straps, water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm and a sun hat, along with your sense of adventure!
